Community Salmon Release In-Person
The community is invited to celebrate the lives of the chum salmon we’ve watched hatch and grow in the Children’s Library. Join us at Maritime Heritage Park where attendees can help release the salmon into Whatcom Creek. Please join us on Saturday, March 29, at 4:00pm at Maritime Heritage Park. We'll meet at the Amphitheatre with a welcome from White Swan Environmental and then Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association will take it away. We’ll have a station to release the salmon fry into Whatcom Creek and a handful of other stations (a salmon game, crafts, stories read aloud) for participants to enjoy while they wait their turn. All are invited to join us for this special event!
